David Horwoood Limited has continually invested in technology over the years. In the field, we use state-of-the-art robotic total stations and high precision GPS equipment. We are also a partner in Can-Net, a virtual reference station (VRS) GPS network offering high precision corrections over cellular phone networks. In the office we use the latest AutoCAD Civil 3D (CAD) and ArcGIS Desktop (GIS) software allowing us to provide high quality hardcopy plans as well as digital drawings and databases. We have also invested in large format scanning equipment and have digitally captured our over 30,000 survey plans generated over the last 40 years. This provides us with instantaneous access to the wealth of our own land records to better service our clients. This investment in technology allows us to be extremely versatile and customize our services based on client needs.
